On the 12th May, 2017, "The Conference of Technology and Principle of Complex Spine Surgery" was held at Zhongshan School of Medicine, SYSU in Guangzhou by NASS and CAOS. This was 5th conference cooperated by NASS&CAOS. It provided a sample laboratory which allowed over 100 present surgeons to practice by hands all day. Many one-hour live operation broadcast with Double Medical and medical PEEK innovator Invibio's presentations, were provided to the audience.

In this NASS & CAOS event, the two companies worked with international and domestic experts and professors and presented the PEEK-OPTIMA Direct Lateral Interbody Fusion Cage (DLIF) operation. This implant is decided to be used for lumbar surgery to provide a better overall patient experience.

Globally, the number of Peek-Optima implant had increased to about 9 million. On the basis of its groundbreaking success, Invibio partnered with Chinese advanced medical institutions for promoting more better treatments.

The Peek-Optima solution developed by Invibio has been recognized for its advantages in spinal interbody fusion and is widely used in clinical applications.
