PKP percutaneous kyphoplasty system

Percutaneous kyphoplasty is a minimally invasive procedure designed to reduce or stop the pain caused by a spinal fracture, to stabilize the bone, and to restore some or all of the lost vertebral body height with the special instrument due to the compression fracture.

Indication:

  • Osteoporosis combine with compression fractures
  • Multiple myeloma
  • Painful vertebral hemangioma
  • Painful osteolytic vertebral metastasis tumour
  • Old compression fracture of spine, resulting in kyphosis and pain caused by fracture


Contraindication:

  • Serious osteoporosis
  • Vertebral fracture with posterior edge incompleteness
  • Allergic to bone cement or filler
  • Burst fracture of vertebral body with nervous system injury
