- Avascular necrosis of the talus
- Failed joint replacement or failed ankle fusion
- Distal tibial fracture and non-unions
- Osteoarthritis
- Rheumatoid arthritis and pseudoarthrosis
Contraindication:
- Active infection
- Peripheral vascular neuropathy
- Young patients
